This third book was AWESOME. By far my favorite in the series so far! Kaderin was so cool and badass and it was exciting watching her participate in the Hie doing all that crazy stuff for points. And I really loved Sebastian too!! I felt for the guy and liked that he loved Kaderin exactly the way she was and even helped her do all those crazy obstacles in the competition to be supportive.Also, the whole Hie competition thing?? SO FUN TO WATCH. All those mythical creatures running around trying to kill each other and fighting for random stuff made this super exciting. I loved it!It’s also starting to become fun for me to guess who the next books are going to be about too. Regin started talking about her true love who keeps getting reincarnated for her and I thought Well, there’s one. It’s fun how all these books and characters are connected together and it really gets me motivated to read more.↬ FINAL WORDTwo thumbs way up! The story was awesome and the romance was super cute. Loved it!!

Sebastian follows her in the competition intending to win the woman who is his Bride.OPINION: I love how these two characters bring life to one another. Their story is at times painful because opening up one another emotionally means that they can hurt one another. Sebastian is such a sweet hero. He is a reluctant vampire and through this book comes to accept his own existence. He is almost immediately devoted to Kaderin and spends the remainder of the book chasing her. The adventure really works well with this couple. It brings a lightness and adventure to the story.The book overlaps the stories of other books and I find it interesting that each book hints at the mysteries of the other books and the motivations of the characters. It makes me interested in continuing to read the series.WORTH MENTIONING: I love the integration of the modern pop culture world with the paranormal world in this series.CONNECTED BOOKS: NO REST OR THE WICKED is the third book in the Immortals After Dark series. It can be read as a standalone but is much better after reading the first two books.STAR RATING: I give this book 4.25 stars.
This is one of my favorite stories, because of Sebastian, who I loved. Kaderin the heroine is sent to kill him . Sebastian is ready to die as he is lonely and tired of being a vampire, which he never asked for or wanted to be. Then he discovers that she is his bride he will do anything to make her his. Kaderin realizes that she is his bride as well but flees from him. Vampires are her greatest enemy for many reasons including they killed her sisters. Kaderin competes in a yearly contest with prize being something that she wants more than anything else in the world. Sebastian participates for and with her, even though she still wants nothing to do with him.Sebastian was great. He immediately falls in love with his bride and for a man who has always been shy and timid around women, lets his alpha come out, which I enjoyed reading about. I really liked that he was not a manhoe. He had only two sexual experiences before Kederin and they were very brief and terrible. Kaderin had her emotions stolen from her for years feels because of him and Sebastian comes alive. The two get their desire back at the same time when they met and the chemistry between the two is sizzling. The sex scenes and even the make out scenes are hot. I loved most of the books in this series but this was my favorite, because of Sebastian.
