I have a love hate relationship with this book. I love the content which includes such aspects as an essential oil, mantra, meditation, dos and don’ts, and more for every House. There’s meat for each New Moon and every Full Moon too. She included five appendices of information that I feel should have been introduced where appropriate throughout the book and leave the appendices for reference rather than key material. Being relatively green to astrology and to the changes and impact of the moon, I have a lot to learn. I dived into the book, highlighted A LOT, and inserted colored paperclips to mark key pages. I was psyched by Yasmin’s material and planned to use the book to meditate through the lunar cycles this year (which I believe is Yasmin’s intent for the reader too), but what I thought was a simply goal is DIFFICULT using her book. One "problem" is that Yasmin introduces the Rising Sign which is a more in-depth (and appropriate - my words) representation of yourself than the Sun Sign. But, as you work to understand all the material in the book, many times it isn't clear which sign to use. This is key because if you're able to use Yasmin's book as I believe she expected it to be used then it will be a personal experience based on your birth date, time, and location.Yasmin references her moonology.com site A LOT. She recommended that you go there to learn this and that. Problem is that many things cost money, AND things have obviously moved since she wrote the book so some URLs are incorrect.Lastly, although the book is busting with information I find it simply too difficult to follow easily. Minimally, it needs an index, perhaps additional appendices with the key charts (e.g., Finding your rising sign), consistent information on which sign to start with (i.e., sun or rising), an additional chapter that ties it all together, and enough information that I don’t need to go to moonology.com and other astrological sites unless perhaps I want to know the sign for the day. Yasmin needs to decide whether Moonology is meant to be a standalone book or a hook for readers to join her site and pay for things.I’m tossed about whether I will buy her Astrology book. If it’s like Moonology I will need the internet and many hours of study to grasp the points.

WOW! So, I got this just in time for the July Full Moon, and I gathered my tribe and really got into the Full Moon section, and wholly wow! Yasmin has taken something that can be so overwhelming, and made it so comprehensive and beautiful, and empowering- all at the same time. Then, I did a virtual gathering with my tribe for the New Moon, and Yasmin has an entire part of the book on all things new moon, and again! Everyone got so much out of it. I really felt safe with this book, I ordered 2 additional ones for sisters. With sacred gratitude and lunar love... JB

I bought the kindle edition and love it but I'm going back for the hard copy as well. She has a ton of info in this book.. and it is helping me to understand the power of the moon cycles. Yes she does refer back to her website a lot but although some are for money, she does offer a lot of free things as well... and tons of info!! I actually love the kindle version because I was able to take screen shots of all the different tables and refer back to them.. love the kindle for things like that. I'm buying the hard copy as well cuz I need quick access to her checklists and I'm old school and like flipping pages for that kind of stuff. I'm new to astrology/Moonology and am finding this fascinating. If the moon can have such huge affects on that large body that we call "oceans", one can only imagine how much affect the moon can have on our body.. which is composed of a heck of a lot of water. I give it two thumbs up.. I'm grateful for all the info she has presented in it.. I'm grateful to be on yet another spiritual path.

I really like the way this book is organized and love the concept behind it but there is a lot of fluff when it comes down to the specifics. All in all, I'd say this book is geared toward people who know very little about astrology and want something simple and fun to help keep track of lunar phases.

It really explains practices to apply to your life in unison with the moon phases. I wish more was discussed on the full moon, more or the chapters are dedicated to new moons, would recommend overall.

Cultural historian Jonathan Miles has a personal engagement with St. Petersburg and its people that dates back to the Soviet era. Born in a trunk, Jonathan spent his childhood in America and Canada and currently lives in Paris. Excellent, well written, great history!!

Great book!

Throughout this wonderful book I could not decide whether my ranking would ultimately be a 4 or a 5. But when I got the last chapter, I realized that Miles has truly saved the best for last, and knew it was, overall, a solid 5. His prose is consistently luminous; this is prose that soars but is nowhere even remotely pretentious. His information is impressively researched and clearly presented. Early on (p. 60), he tells us that St. Petersburg is "a place where high winds carried the groans of dying Russian labourers and the lilt of European minuets." He ends (the words that solidified my rating) with these sublime images: "Dwarfed by the immensity of Senate Square, . . . Falconer's Peter [the famed Bronze Horseman statue] seems hardly up to the job. If he dismounted, he'd stagger off--like a drunkard trying to walk the straight line, his dubious legacy 300 years of murderous desire." And: St. Petersburg is "a mirage, a magnificent Atlantis, an impossible metropolis rising from the mists, which the mud and the mire keep trying to reclaim." These are magnificent sentences. This was not an easy read, but it rewarded marvelously, powerfully as I read. If you are seeking a political history or a military history, this may not be your book, although Miles provides ample material on both areas, as ancillary to cultural shifts and events. He is a cultural historian, and I found that quite satisfying and rewarding. If you have any doubt of the magnificence of this work, go to a bookstore, sit in a quiet corner, and read his final chapter. I believe you will then justifiably decide on the spot to buy it. You will not be disappointed.

Stuart Wilson was born in Exmouth in the West of England. He came from a conventional background and went to a Scottish public school (Fettes in Edin-burgh). I cannot speak highly enough for my book! I loved it and I loved that these people didn't know one another yet thru regression it was found that the person doing the regressions was seeming to attract people who lived near one another in the Essene Community.. I loved it and cried and felt so joyful.. I flip thru pages occasionally just to get a good feeling sometimes. Magnificent!

With each paragraph and chapter, my feeling heart connected more deeply. As I read, so much felt familiar, like I already knew it, but only needed reminding.Anyone furthering their spiritual journey as believer in Jesus Christ should enjoy this book.... as long as it is read with an open mind and loving heart. Allow the veil to drop.

I like information like this which has come from the deeper layers of a person's mind like under hypnosis. The contents revealed to me a lot of new facts and scenarios, not only about Jesus's life and personality, but also about those contemporary associates and followers of the way. That such a group as the Kaloo existed, having come from the sinking lands of the west, Atlantis was profound. Who would have thought that Atlanteans were so instrumental in the beginnings of the new way expounded by Jesus. It was good to know that Jesus expressed and consented for each of us to develop from within, like it is taught in the Yogi Philosophy. The Christianity that is expressed and practised today is only a shadow of what Jesus really wanted to teach and spread. Together with "Jesus and The Essenes" and "They Walked With Jesus" by Dolores Cannon, I have tremendosly upgraded my knowledge and understanding of Jesus's mission, what he intended for us, who he was, who we are and where we should be going.

Some time ago I was introduced to some of the history of the Essenes by obtaining and reading Dolores Cannon's book "Jesus and the Essenes".But I found "The Essenes: Children of the Light" revealing a great deal more most interesing historical information, which gave me a much deeper understanding of the Essene religeous and spiritual movement and the leading/teaching role of Jesus within this movement.As we find in the conclusion of the book (page 339):"It was in the communities of the Essene Brotherhood that the Way was first taught, and perhaps in that setting it was most fully understood. The Essenes did not try to elaborate the teachings of Jesus into any kind of ceremonial or doctrinal structure. The simple and profound fellowship of lives lived close to Mother Earth had taught them them the power and beauty of simplicity"The book confirmed to me that Jesus had no intention to start a new religeous movement. His teaching was purely aimed at the spiritual development of those people, who were receptive to benefit from it.

This book was amazing! Wait! Let me say that again! This book was amazing! It was what I have been feeling this whole time. This is what I believed! From the time I was a child, my mother and father told me, "you don't have to go to church to believe in God." They were right! You don't! It's in your heart! Jesus was a beautiful man who was enlightened to say the least. Instead of worshipping him, worship his teachings instead! This is what we should be doing! His image is just that, a mere man who was sent to bring up human development and teach love and forgiveness! But we already know this! This is our foundation! This book has finally given me something to believe in! This book gives me something to share with my own child, love, kindness, patience, forgiveness. Well done and worth the read! On to the next book Mary Magdalene!

Another great story by Lana Sky! It’s definitely a page turner and hard to put down once you start reading. Mentally and emotionally draining. Can’t wait for the next book!

WOW…so this book was…INTENSE. Lana sky is yet another new “to me” author I decided to take a chance on, and I seem to have hit the jackpot lately with amazing books by authors I have never read before. As soon as I saw the synopsis for this book, my dark loving heart beat a little faster and I knew I needed to get my grubby hands on a copy. I liked it a lot.It was super dark in the sense that the hero was just god awful. And actually, that is the main reason I couldn’t go all in with a 5-Star rating. His treatment of Snow crossed the line for me. I’ve read plenty of dark books where the hero treats the heroine worse physically, but the mental torture this hero used on an already disturbed heroine made me wonder how and IF this guy can ever really be redeemed. I think maybe if we had gotten some chapters from his POV I may have had an easier time connecting with him. In this book all we get is vicious cruelty from him, and zero kindness. Perhaps in the next book will delve more into his head?? The other issue I have was that I felt Snow was a doormat. This didn’t affect my rating at all because short of cutting his member off and feeding it to him, she would inevitable always come across weak considering how cruel the hero was. The things she put up with made me cringe.Those two issues aside this was still a cracking good read. Well written. Well paced. The plot was engaging. Dark. Twisted. Intense. Heartbreaking. Rage inducing. Mysterious. The sex was hot (borderline dub-con). There was no OW or OM drama. It was angst on steroids (lol). There weren’t a ton of secondary characters, but both Snowy’s brothers were intriguing. Last, it all wraps up on a captivating cliffhanger that will leave you wishing you had book two in your hands ASAP.

3.5 StarsSo This was a new author for me and let me tell you she sure can write: this was an excellently written story and I definitely can't fault King's Men on this author's exceptional story-telling ability.This really was quite a dilemma for me in terms of my eventual rating here as on the one hand I was glued to this until the final closing words that certainly managed to grip me with there brilliant intensity.But then this also equally repelled me with the psychological warfare used against Snow by Blake that at times actually felt more along the lines of mental torture so great was the cruelty and spite employed here.This at timed went beyond the realms of what I am comfortable with totally smashing my boundaries and nearly reaching my hard limit.This is the first instalment in a dark romance duet and this follows the story of Snow and Blake its a wronged revenge trope and told completely from Snows POV.I should also mention as well don't be expecting any sweeter romantic moments here as this just doesn't have them: I use the term romance very lightly indeed just putting that out there so you realise this and are aware.So as I was saying I feel that only experiencing snow's input here didn't balance out Blakes venom and because of this, I failed to find anything redeemable in him meaning I struggled to connect emotionally with Blake's personal suffering that had turned him into this vengeful monster.In fact, I would go as far as to say at times I really wanted to throat punch him so great was my abhorrence of his actions and intentions.I struggled with the annihilation and torment of an already damaged individual especially considering snow's age at the time of her supposed crime the unintentional actions of a child, not an adult that had then resulted in such far-reaching consequences.Snow has had to then live with herself ever since not an easy task for her as she has lost the one closest to her heart.I am now so emotionally invested in the outcome here even if at this moment in time I absolutely detest Blake with a passion and personally want him to grovel on bended knees to snow for forgiveness.I also think from the snippet included at the end here of book two, we get some input from Blakes side of things and I am hoping this may showcase a crack in his impenetrable armour: anything really to see him act in any positive manner and maybe get a sense of his inner angst.So this was very dark but as I said this darkness wasn't physical but more psychological in nature and I have read so much darker than this before this just seemed to hit all my buttons in terms of triggers.So despite my above observations, I did enjoy this and it most certainly left a distinct impression in regards to its impact.It's an extremely intense journey that will hook its claws in for the duration and despite not being easy reading in places was surprisingly addictive: almost like car crash TV.This is one that some might struggle with just because of the emotional abuse heavily featured here: I know I did.But this was most certainly memorable so well done to the author on that one: this tale stands out from the crowd.I voluntary reviewed a copy of King's Men (The Savage Fall Duet #1).All opinions expressed here are entirely my own.

This has more twists and "WTH just happened" turns than Lombard Street!When I first started King's Men I was having a problem connecting with the cast and truly getting into the story line. Snow just rubbed me wrong and the story had me feeling a bit lost. I kept going though and by the third chapter, I was a touch more intrigued and curious - by the fourth I was hooked and there was no going back.Yes I like to be grabbed from the opening not always a good thing I openly admit thatBlake is evil personified! I don't believe there is anything he could ever do to change that in my eyes. His driving need to destroy Snowy almost borders on insanity. For an anti-hero, he is above and beyond reproach he couldn't be more "anti" if he put actual effort into it - his character is that inherently twisted. His behavior had me ping-ponging constantly - like he is battling with himself as to how dark things can go and do not even get me started on all the questions his breadcrumb comments left me with.Snow still had my hackles in a fit even as I read the closing scene. Someone (besides Blake) needs to knock some sense into that girl! I get she would do anything to not be destitute - I guess when you have nothing left to lose anything goes and I understood that. For me, it was more the fact she did not value herself. Though that was probably the point. *shrugs*I have so many more questions than answers and am truly hoping book two has them. Though I am a bit scared if some of those answers are revealed to be what I believe they are.Note this is a dark read - there is no romanceThe copy I read was comp

Question for parents--does this book romanticize being a soldier in your son's eyes? This is my concern. Much to our consternation, my 9-yr-old grandson brought this home from his school library. I read part of it, & it seems pretty balanced; it mentions soldiers that die. Still, it makes soldiering look exciting. What effect did it have on your child? After reading it, is he/she more gung-ho to enlist when reaching 18?.

I really liked this book because not only did it give a short history lesson behind traditional wedding etiquette, it also showed us some very different and unusual styles of cakes. I liked the quilt-design cake but others I showed it to thought it was tacky. Needless to say it's an interesting design. This little pocket book will come in handy, I'm sure, when it is my turn to take my final stroll as a single woman. But who knows when that will be. . .I'm still 20!

The author is obviously a subject matter expert in conducting Phase I ESA investigations. However, this book is written in such a simplistic manner that I probably could have found everything needed to conduct my own Phase I ESA by googling it or looking it up on Wikipedia. Another example of the simplicity of this book is all illustrations in the book are hand-drawn by a novice. She didn't even hire a graphics illustrator to make a few simple but professional illustrations. In addition, the book is waaaaay overpriced. A comparable book at a bookstore should be around $30 max. Bottom line, this book doesn't provide any information that cannot be found with a simple search on the internet. Unless your college professor requires you to purchase this book, save your money and google the info.

A decent primer for those new to Phase Is. I would recommend if you are new to the field and want a jump start towards becoming knowledgeable on environmental due diligence. There's no substitute for experience, but you can at least consult this reference before you go to your boss with stupid questions.

Book was in super good (new) condition. The only problem is that this is second addition and my class is using the third addition. But most of the information is the same so I'm ok.

Every aspect of hospice care is covered... from symptom management and medication use to the emotional challenges faced by patients and their caregivers. I wish that I had this book available to me when I started working as a hospice nurse. I checked out the book from my local library and now recommending that my hospice purchase several copies for staff use and to loan out or give to our patients. I can't think of one thing that the book didn't cover. For hospices, this book should be required reading for all new staff. Dying or being with someone who is dying is not something people like to discuss. When my beloved grandfather was suffering, I got my hands on "Living at the End of Life" for the others around him that were suffering . I was curious about the questions it addressed, found it was a quick read, so I cruised through it before passing it on. To be honest I cannot remember a lot of what was in the book, but I clearly remember it made me feel like I could handle this situation, that I could be helpful, and do it with grace. When things came up I wasn't expecting, like needing to wash him, I was ready. I had the courage to do what he needed me to do, because I had knowledge. The book gave me a better perspective on what things were like from his perspective, from my grandma's perspective, and the others involved. I found it so comforting, I gave a copy to a dear friend that was with her 100 year-old-grandmother in her last days and to my mother-in-law when trying to understand why her mother no longer wanted to eat. Both found it very comforting and informative. It is a book everyone should read, but it is especially for someone caring for a loved one during such a demanding time.

If you are experiencing or expect to experience the slow death of someone close to you this is a must have guide. It also is good for the stoic approach to one's own demise. It is the reality of coping with death in a how-to format.

Wish I had had this while we were going through the process with my mom. A lot of things were learned the hard way. All hospices should make this recommended reading for families. Every family should have a copy
